Why couples

Naming a person is a big deal.
It shouldn’t feel like a fight.

Built for two, from the start

Baby What? is designed around choosing together — from separate browsing to shared matches and a final shortlist.

Less back-and-forth

Matches give you a better place to start the conversation: names you already have in common.

Names with real meaning

Every name comes with origin, meaning, and popularity — drawn from rich, regional data so a shortlist feels considered, not random.

A calmer way to choose

No endless spreadsheets or 3am debates. A few minutes of swiping each, and the conversation moves forward on its own.

Questions

Good to know

When does Baby What? launch?

We’re putting the finishing touches on it now. Baby What? is coming soon to the App Store and Google Play — this page will have the download links the moment it’s live.

How does partner matching work?

You and your partner connect with an invite code. As you both save names, Baby What? builds your Matches from the names you both like.

Do we both need the app?

Matching works best when you’re both swiping, but you can absolutely start solo — build your own list first and invite your partner whenever you’re ready.

Where do the names come from?

Names come with meaning, origin, and popularity drawn from regional datasets, so you can choose a region and see rankings that actually reflect where you live.

Will it be on both iPhone and Android?

Yes — Baby What? is coming to both iOS and Android.
